Extreme Reading Challenge

Reading lights up your world – you can read anywhere and everywhere, and the power of a great book is that it takes you to places you never thought possible! The Montrose Primary School Extreme Reading Challenge was designed to celebrate the diversity and versatility of the enjoyment of books in a variety of places!

All learners (and staff) were invited to participate in the Extreme Reading Challenge.  The aim was to submit the most creative photograph of yourself ‘extreme’ reading.  This event was set up to get the children reading and remind them that reading is fun.

For this challenge, one child was chosen from each class in the Foundation Phase (Grade 1-3) and one child per grade in the InterSen Phase (Grade 4-7) as having the most creative extreme reading photograph and those learners each received a certificate.

Mrs van Loggerenberg would like to congratulate all learners and staff for taking part in this fun and eventful challenge and supporting our love for books and reading.
