SPORTS AND CULTURE DEPARTMENT
SPORTS AND CULTURE
Montrose Primary School strives to provide an extra-mural program that affords all participants involved, opportunities to enjoy and succeed in areas other than the classroom, while obtaining professional and worthwhile coaching, thereby ensuring a well-rounded and holistic education.
Learners are encouraged to participate in a minimum of one school-based extra-mural per term, regardless of whether they participate in extra-murals that are offered privately.
It is important that learners remain committed to their activities for the duration of the term. Learners are also encouraged to become more physically active and to participate in a team sport every term.
While teams strive for victory, the emphasis is on healthy participation, enjoyment and sportsmanship.
